As a plastic surgeon in Houston, I see a lot of moms who want to regain their pre-pregnancy shape. Any woman who has struggled to take off the baby weight knows just how challenging it can be, and the truth is, sometimes diet and exercise just aren’t enough. Here are some of my favorite procedures for getting your body back, and then some:

  • Breast Augmentation

Breastfeeding can cause the breasts to take on a deflated appearance. Breast augmentation restores volume after pregnancy or breastfeeding so that the breasts look fuller and more rounded. There are a variety of sizes available so you can choose whether your enhancement is natural or dramatic.

  • Breast Lift

The dramatic fluctuation in breast size during pregnancy can lead to drooping, sagging breasts. Breast lift surgery can elevate the breasts and nipples to a higher position so that they look more youthful. This procedure is best for women who are happy with the size of their breasts, but who want a “perkier” breast position. However, some women may combine a breast lift with breast augmentation to improve both the size and position of their breasts.

  • Tummy Tuck

One of the most rewarding procedures for moms is a tummy tuck. During pregnancy, your skin and muscles stretch — often to the point of no return. No amount of sit-ups or exercise can remove excess abdominal skin. A tummy tuck removes this skin and can even tighten the underlying muscles. The result is a flatter, firmer tummy and slimmer waistline.
